The meeting will be from 7-9 pm, Wednesday, March 24, at Abbot Elementary
School, 2670 Sequoia Parkway, off N. Maple near Miller.
This will be an opportunity to learn about Pall's latest plans for
cleaning up (or not cleaning up) the recently discovered dioxane plume
making its way from Scio Township through the City of Ann Arbor.
Cleanup activities for other parts of the Gelman site contamination will
also be discussed.
There will be a panel of community, governmental, and technical
representatives to answer questions. If you wish, you can send your
questions ahead of time to any of the email addresses below.
SRSW expects this to be the first of a series of periodic meetings to help
assure that effective, protective, and community-acceptable cleanup
activities proceed over the coming years until the cleanup is finally
finished.
With Pall's current cleanup discharge permit up for renewal this year, now
is one of those key times that citizen involvement can make a significant
difference.
