WSTC'rs
Frost on the grass, leaves are falling, northwinds are blowing. The
ski ski season will soon be here. The Board, Officers and Committees
of the WSTC haven't been hibernating over the summer however, we've
been busy at work putting together another exciting wintersworth of
fun and adventure.
The biggest change for the year is the new home for our regular meetings,
Hathaway's Hideaway, 310 S. Ashley St (one block west of Main st. between
Williams and Liberty) in Ann Arbor. This new space gives us more flexibility
and a more casual atmosphere. Mark these dates on your calender:
November 13 and 27
December 11
January 8 and 22
March 11and 25
As always, we'll start the socializing at 7 PM and the Business will
begin at 7:30. Dan C. has organized an excellent schedule of featured
speakers, you won't want to miss a single one.
Our Trip Committee led by Carol and Gwen has put together another winning
lineup with trips scheduled nearly every weekend all winter long. Some
new, some revisited and some old favorites, we hope to take advantage
of every snowflake that falls. And when we get snow locally, look for
adventures in our nearby parks to develop.
To start the season off right, join us for the Annual Potluck and Hike
this Sunday November 4 at Kay's house, 8255 Huron River Dr, Dexter
48130. (check club website for map and directions) Come at 3 PM to
join us in a hike through nearby Hudson Mills Metropark or join us
at 6 PM for the legendary Potluck. Bring a dish to pass, beverage of
choice and bring stories of ski adventures to share.
Time to pull out the winter clothing, wax up the skiis and get ready
for another fun season.....
