PLEASE NOTE: This year WSTC hikes will start SHARP on the announced

lace up your boots, take the curlers out of your hair, or fix up your
makeup.
Thanks to our Secretary, Ed Steinman, our website has all the details
you will need for the potlucks, trips, hikes and meetings: www.hvcn.org/info/skiclub/
Our Treasurer, Dan Sell, has already been sending checks for trip deposits,
dues, meeting hall rentals, etc. He is looking forward to depositing
your membership dues checks.
This year we will host trips to Marquette, Roscommon, Grayling,
the UP, Wolverine, and Stokely Creek, Ontario. We have a new adventure
scheduled for this season to a quaint B&B in East Jordan. Many
thanks to Carole Hann for developing this very ambitious schedule and
creating a beautiful brochure to describe the trips.
Mark your calendars for the ski club meetings to be held at the Kerrytown
Concert House on 4th Ave. in Ann Arbor on the following dates:
November 10, 2009

Our Vice President, Nancy Morehead, is lining up presenters for these
meetings. Some of the topics to be covered are: how to interpret the
weather, what to wear in the cold weather, what to eat in the cold
weather. Expert skiers are always at hand to advise on what wax to
use on your skis in the cold weather.
As usual, we'll socialize at 7:00 PM and begin the Business Meeting
at 7:30.
And refreshments will be served. Heidi Tietjen will be arranging for
volunteers for goodies.
See you soon. Start your snow dances now.
