Skiing
When conditions permit local cross country ski trips to various local parks and
golf courses are arranged.
2. Ski Trips
Weekend ski trips to locations in Michigan and Ontario are planned from December
through March. The trips are reasonably priced and offer a variety of skiing
including bushwhacking, touring, racing, and family trips. Extended trips from
3-7 days are also offered. A club favorite is the New Year's Trip to Marquette,

3. Ski Instruction
Come to a meeting to meet people who may be able to help you. Or come on a ski
club trip. Talk to the trip leader to find out of there will be
someone
on the trip who can
help

4. Meetings
From early November through March, the ski club has regular educational/social
meetings every other Tuesday. The meetings offer presentations on cross country
ski techniques, equipment, safety and other ski related activities. See Meeting
Dates & Topics on the home page. Refreshments at every meeting.
After meetings some members get together at a local eatery.
5. Discounts
WSTC members: shop at Bivouac and
get a 15% discount!
6. Ski Library
The club maintains a library of
instructional videos and books.

Potlucks, Social
Skiers love to eat and the WSTC tradition of eating is demonstrated during the
potlucks and picnic. An annual ski prep party and potluck affords an opportunity
to get those skis ready for winter and show off your culinary skills. There are
refreshments at meetings and time for socializing. There are after-meeting get-togethers
at a local pub.
8. Newsletter
Our newsletter, MAKING TRACKS, is no longer published as it has been replaced
by this website. The website is kept up to date throughout the season so check
back from time to time for changes. Information on favorite ski trips and local
places to ski cross country are here on our website. Please send any x-country
