Pinkney State Recreation Area

Headquarters are located at 85555 Silver Hill Road, north of North Territorial Road, Pinckney.

- Potawotami Trail, a 17 mile hiking trail.
- Silver Lake - beach, 2.2 and 4.6 mile trails.
- Half Moon Lake - beach.

- horseback riding stable

- cross-country skiing in the winter
Waterloo State Recreation Area

Headquarters are located at 16345 McClure Road, Chelsea.
- 21,000 acres.
- Waterloo trail, a 22 mile trail
- Gerald E. Eddy Geology Center, smaller trails
- Sandhill Crane habitat
- Floating Bog nature study area
- modern camping facilities
- horseback riding stable
- children's play area
- cross-country skiing in the winter
