Membership and Donations

Membership:

The Ann Arbor Reconstructionist Havurah is a membership organization. We exclude no one from full participation for financial reasons. We depend on members and contributors to determine their own financial situations and ability to contribute, though we do have suggested guidelines based on a determination of how much our activities will cost per member household annually.

The AARH is by choice a community sustained by volunteers. Since the AARH has no full-time staff, we are almost entirely dependent upon our members and friends both to perform all basic functions and to initiate and execute special programs and activities. Members are encouraged to identify roles for themselves as volunteer contributors to our community.

Non-Member Donations

We invite non-members to affiliate with the AARH in two ways:

1) High Holiday Participation. We do not issue tickets for high holiday services, nor do we turn anyone away from prayer. To defray our expenses, we suggest a contribution for attending the services.

2) Newsletter Subscription. The annual rate to receive our monthly newsletter is $35.

Extra Donations:

Contributions of any amount to commemorate a special occasion or to recognize a death, birth or other lifecycle event may be made to one or more of the following funds:

Torah Fund (for purchase and upkeep of a Torah)
Religious School Fund
Library Fund
General Fund
