On Thursday, May 4, 2006, the Kiwanis club of Ypsilanti celebrated 85 years of service to the community. To learn more about the history of the club, click on "A Brief History" on the home page. The celebration was organized by 2005-06 President-Elect Linda Lawther, and was held at the Ladies Literary Club in Ypsilanti.

On hand to help us celebrate were members of Colonial Plymouth, Manchester, Milan, and Saline. During dinner, Ypsilanti Kiwanian preston Plews entertained the crowd with excellent music. Division 10 Lt.-Governor Jerry Jennings served as master of cere-
monies. During the program, long-time members recalled the early efforts of the club to serve the Ypsilanti area. Michigan District Governor Fred Model was the keynote speaker.
