From I-94 to the South, take Exit 183 north onto Huron Street. Go about six blocks into town, passing Michigan Avenue US-12. The museum and library will be about three blocks on the right. Park free in the lot to the south of the building. To get back to I-94, follow Huron back to Michigan Avenue. Turn right, going west three blocks to Hamilton and turn left. Follow it south to I-94. See map of nearby streets. |

| Description | |
An 1860 Victorian mansion, previously occupied by the families of Asa & Minerva Miles Dow, Aaron & Julian Goodrich, and Lambert & Jane Geddes Barnes, houses both museum and archives. Archives include obituaries, city directories, and files by subject, street name, and biographical; museum contains Ypsilanti artifacts and documents from founding to the present, children's room, doll room, local arts and crafts. The museum is a project of the Ypsilanti Historical Society. |
