Directions/Parking
From US-23 to the East, take Exit 41, turning west onto Plymouth Road. Continue past Green Road, turning left onto Huron Parkway. Follow this past Hubbard, turning right on Glazier Way; follow Glazier as it joins with Fuller and skirts the University of Michigan Medical Center complex. Turn left on Ann Street (one-way) and follow it to the end at Observatory.

Parking
Parking is available along side streets near the corner of Observatory and East Ann. There are 2-hour meters along Zina Pitcher Place one block west of the observatory.

Description
The Detroit Observatory was built in Ann Arbor in 1854 during the tenure of Dr. Henry Philip Tappan, first president of the University of Michigan. The museum contains 19th and 20th century scientific equipment used for astronomy, meteorology, seismology, and timekeeping.
