Directions	From I-94 on the South, take Exit 177 onto S. State Street. Go north into the campus area of Ann Arbor, turning right onto S. University, just past the Law Quad. Go one block to Tappan Street. The library will be on the left across from Tappan. See map of Central Campus.
Parking	Metered parking is available along side streets.
Holdings	Rare books, documents, manuscripts, prints, maps, music, and photographs from early America (1492-1900).
Circulation Area	Non-circulating
Restrictions	Closed stacks. All visitors must apply to use the library, present identification, and be interviewed for permission to research library holdings. Researchers should have a well-defined topic in mind. Most materials are in closed stacks.
Copying	Copying may be requested from the librarian at $.30 per page, $.40 per page for oversize copies. There is a $2.00 minimum charge for photocopying. Cost for copying photographs varies by size and color. Some materials may not be copied if too fragile, too large, or have a stiff binding.
