Directions From I-94 on the South, take Exit 177 onto S. State Street. Go north into the campus area of Ann Arbor, turning left on William (across from the University of Michigan "Diag"). Go west 5 blocks to Fifth Avenue. The library is on the northeast corner of Fifth and William directly across from the Ann Arbor "Y".

Parking There is metered parking along the street and a large city lot on the north side of the building with entrances from both Fifth Avenue (a one-way street south) and Division (a one-way street north). Cost: $.60 per hour.

Holdings Federal census for Washtenaw County, county and local history books, cemetery records, Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti city directories, maps and atlases, all Ann Arbor newspapers on microfilm. Books written about Ann Arbor and other Washtenaw County communities. High school yearbooks from Ann Arbor, Community, Huron, and Pioneer High Schools [R371.897 An]. On CD: Biography and Genealogy Master Index, Cartopedia (world atlas and encyclopedia), Detroit Free Press (1990-present), PhoneDisc (residential and business). Brief inquiries with SASE will be answered for a $1 service charge and $.20 per page copies.

Bibliography of Handy Genealogical References... and where to find them in local repositories lists some materials available at the library with call numbers.
