Note: In the summer (May through September), ACPL is on Central Time, one hour earlier than Michigan. From October to April, it is on Eastern Standard Time.

Directions From I-94, take exit 108 for I-69 South to Ft. Wayne. From I-69, take exit 111A for US-27, US-33, and Indiana Route 1 going south. Cross Coliseum Blvd. (US-24, US-30, US-33, and Indiana Route 14). As you approach town, the divided highway you are on (called Northrup Street) becomes a non-divided highway as it joins with Clinton Street, then splits into two one-way streets, Clinton Street southbound and Lafayette Street (or Spy Run Ave.) northbound. Continue south, crossing over St. Mary's River into the downtown area. Turn left on E. Main, right on S. Barr, and right on E. Berry. See map of downtown Fort Wayne.
Parking The cost is ?? per hour at the large municipal lot directly across the street from the library. Street parking is metered.
Holdings The Fred J. Reynolds Historical Genealogy Department of the ACPL is the second largest genealogical repository in North America. Michigan material relating to genealogy and local history. All available federal census and mortality records, state indexes, and Soundex. Michigan state census for 1827, 1830, 1834, 1845, 1850, 1854, 1864, 1870, 1874, 1880, 1884, 1894. City directories. Military records and regimental histories. All standard reference works. County and town histories, vital, cemetery, church, court, land, probate, and naturalization records. Native American records. Largest English-language genealogy and local history periodical collection in the world.
Restrictions During library renovations, all materials are available in open stacks. Only one microfilm roll may be removed from the cabinet for use at a time.

Copying Copiers available. Copies of census records can be ordered by mail if full reference is given.
