To use the Helplist...	refer to the Genealogy Helplist instructions, summarized here, before requesting help. Send email, adding "HELPLIST" to the subject line. Make a specific request relating to items listed. Include your mailing address. If you do not receive an acknowledgment within a week, resubmit. If you try several times without success, contact wwwgswc@aol.com. The provider decides what to do and is not under any obligation. Listed items may be free; you must pay costs (copying, postage) as agreed upon in advance.
Helplist participants...	are volunteers who do not charge for their time. If you use the Helplist, you should also participate; requests from non-participants may be limited. It is easy to be helpful, even if only listing items in a library or courthouse. See Helplist Michigan to become a Michigan participant; follow Helplist links for other states/countries.
