Genealogical Society of Washtenaw County, Michigan, Inc.

Family History Capers
 Capers

Our journal, published quarterly since 1977, emphasizes Washtenaw County records and history but also includes materials submitted by members pertinent to their families and to research in other counties, states and countries. Transcribed records from the GSWC Bible Records Registry as well as various census and county records and obituaries are often included. A library report lists new acquisitions.

Record transcriptions and articles of general interest as well as those focusing on Washtenaw County and the surrounding area are solicited for consideration.

The Capers also incorporates "strays", one or two miscellaneous sentences found in various and sundry publications. For example, a recent issue reported that "Dr. Edward H. Flynn, an old Ann Arbor boy, now of West Branch, was married yesterday in Bay City to Miss Nellie E. Cole of that city." as found in the Ann Arbor Argus Weekly for Friday, 19 January 1889. Other strays may mention moves, studies, licenses, visits and travels.
