Communion Wafer

Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday at our 8:15am and 10:45am services, as well as at certain festival services such as Christmas Eve and Maundy Thursday.

At Emmanuel we welcome all the baptized to the Lord's Table who confess that Jesus Christ is truly present in, with and under the bread and wine. When directed by the ushers, please come down the center aisle, forming two lines to receive the sacrament.

Distribution of the wine is performed either by intinction (dipping the bread in the wine) or by individual glasses of wine.

White grape juice is available in place of the wine. The wine is purple and the grape juice is white.

Children who have not been instructed may come forward to receive a blessing from the pastor.
