Giving Options
Emmanuel offers several methods to provide financial support to our ministries:
- A Financial Pledge: Each fall, Emmanuel Lutheran Church begins its process of assessing its finances in order to, in turn, assess its ministry abilities for the coming year. A vital part of that process is its invitation for its members to make a formal pledge of their giving intentions. Please consider making a formal pledge to Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Pledge cards are always available in the church office.
- Online Giving: Emmanuel is pleased to offer on-line giving from our web site. We can accept contributions from credit/debit cards or from your savings/checking account. Click here for more information or you can donate now.
Cash and check: Gifts by check or cash, of course, continue to be the method most choose to support the ministry of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Financial gifts sent to the church office, or left in offering plates, are not only appreciated, but are indispensable to the fulfillment of our mission. Your gifts may be made generally, or as a way to honor or memorialize a family member or friend.
Effective January 1, 2012, Emmanuel has discontinued the service that mails offering envelopes to member households. Members have an envelope account number assigned to them to keep track of offerings. We will continue to use those account numbers. You can use a pew envelope and put your name or account number on it. A supply of pew envelopes will be available in the rack on the pews as well as on the table in the narthex. You may take a supply home if you wish to prepare your offering before coming to worship.- Stock Transfers: Another method to contribute to Emmanuel Lutheran is the transfer of stock shares. By gifting stock to the church, capital gains taxes may be avoided. Please contact the church office for more information.
