Prayer

Prayer Chain

We believe in the power of prayer. Jesus prayed regularly to God for guidance, and we would do well to remember that the power of prayer is one of God's most miraculous gifts to all of us. Remember, no request is too big or too small to bring to God's attention.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church has not one, but two prayer chains in operation. Prayer requests for healing, direction, protection, or thanksgiving are forwarded to the members of the Prayer Chain, who will include the requester in their own prayers to God.

The telephone chain operates by one member calling another member of the chain with prayer requests; this prayer chain is coordinated by Betty Gessert or Barb Maes. The EMail chain shares prayer requests and urgent updates of information; the members of this group stretch from Michigan to Missouri and California and is coordinated by Mary Lou Linke.

To have yourself added (or to ask that someone be added) to the prayer chain, contact the church office. Please be sure to include the full name of the person(s) you wish added, your name and contact information in case we need further clarification.

To participate in either prayer chain, contact the church office. You will be contacted by Email or by phone when a need for prayer arises.

“What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer.”
