Medical Loan Closet
Medical equipment that is donated to the church, such as crutches, canes, walkers, bedside commodes and tray tables, are loaned to those who need them. Periodically, surplus equipment is taken to other agencies and for distribution throughout the U.S. and the world through World Medical Relief.
I Need Help:
Those in need of the loan of medical equipment may contact the church directly (734-482-7121, emmanuel@provide.net). They can also be assisted by another organization such as Neighborhood Senior Services, Friends in Deed or the Visiting Nurses. No referral is needed, but loan paperwork must be filled out to keep track of where various equipment has gone.
I Want to Help Others:
Contribute Equipment -- Contributions are gratefully accepted provided the equipment is in good working order. Because our storage space is limited, we ask that you contact the church office (734-482-7121, emmanuel@provide.net) before bringing it over to make sure we can accept your contribution.
Please note that we cannot accept lift chairs and hospital beds.
Distribute -- There are also opportunities to help inspect and distribute these items by volunteering to assist the church's Social Concerns committee.
