Director of Choirs

Ariel Toews-Ricotta

Ariel Toews-Ricotta has been our Director of Choirs since September 2004. Ariel is an active conductor in the area. She is currently the Music Director of the Livonia Youth Choir and the Ypsilanti Community Choir, as well as the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Chancel Choir. She is also a conductor for the Civic Youth Ensembles, the youth orchestra program under the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. She has served as the Music Director of the Celebration Youth Orchestra and as the Assistant Conductor of the Plymouth Symphony and Orchestra Canton.

Ariel earned her master's degree in band and choral conducting from the University of Michigan.
