How Can I Serve?
Sometimes we would like to find ways to become more involved with the life of the congregation, but are not sure what is needed. There are many opportunities for service both in the Standing Committees, which are defined by the congregation's constitution and by-laws, and in many other more informal groups.
Church Council & Standing Committees oversee the many facets our congregation's life. A brief overview is given after each name; click the committee name for a more detailed explanation of their function:
- Parish Education -- provides educational opportunities to grow in Christian faith.
- Evangelism -- responsible for evangelism programs of the congregation
- Executive -- church officers; coordinate overall operations of the congregation
- Finance -- oversees the congregation's financial resources
- Membership -- oversees maintenance of the congregation's membership rolls.
- Property -- manages the congregation's facilities, property and grounds
- Resource -- oversees the stewardship programs of the congregation
- Social Concerns -- develops and maintains community outreach programs
- Worship -- oversees programs to provide meaningful worship experiences
- Youth -- oversees spiritually & socially uplifting programs for the congregation youth
Fellowship Groups & Organizations provide a less formal setting for Emmanuel's members and friends to interact. click the group name for a more detailed explanation of their function:

- Choirs & Music Ministry -- Providing an important element of the worship experience

- ELCW -- Fellowship and service opportunities for women of the church
- MOMS Club -- Providing a way for moms to get together, to learn, to laugh, to have fun, to help each other and to be involved in community activities.
