Anniversary Service
Photo Album

November 15, 2009
For our third and final sesquicentennial celebration, Emmanuel was blessed with Rev. Steven G. Marsh, Bishop of the Southeast Michigan Synod of the ELCA as our guest preacher. We also celebrated with several of our youth as they participated in their first communion.

In keeping with our theme of "Building to the Future", hymns and lessons were shown on a screen at the front of the sanctuary.

Several members were taking pictures during this special service, and we will add them to this page as they are received from them. Be sure to come back often to see what we have added. For pictures taken on this day during the Educational Hour, follow this link.

Sanctuary setup for this celebratory service

The worship service began at the baptismal font, which was moved to the rear of the sanctuary. With the screen in front of the choir loft, this was a unique place from which to take pictures unnoticed ...

.... or so I thought.

The choir was temporarilly displaced from their normal seats so they could see
the projector screen. The hymn and leson text was legible. Dale approves....
