Boy Scout Troop 290
Troop 290 has been chartered by Emmanuel with the Boy Scouts of America since the early 1970s and has mentored over 40 young men to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. Today, we have over 25 active scouts, a recent Eagle, 4 more getting close, and many, many active adults. We meet on Sunday nights in the church basement at 6:00pm, and all boys ages 10-1/2 thru 17 are welcome. So, if you know of a boy who is in 5th grade and at least 10 years old, you should bring him down on a Sunday night and check us out.
Some activities we have coming up this year are:
- September 2012 - Pioneering & knots themed campout
- October 2012 - Halloween themed camporee
- November 2012 - Bowling and rifle shooting
- December 2012 - Video and board game night overnight
- January 2013 - Winter camping
