Past Events

The Michigan Chapter of CPSR exists primarily as a "virtual chapter"; most of our activity and interaction occurs in cyberspace, through our e-mail list and web conference. We have no regular "physical" meetings scheduled.

However, from time to time, we may get together for meetings of particular interest to members of the group. (If you have an idea for such a meeting, please suggest it!) We will post notice of such meetings here.

Informal Gathering

An informal gathering of CPSR-Michigan folks is planned for Wednesday, May 5th, at the home of Kurt and Anita Lauckner, 2642 Craig Road, Ann Arbor. Festivities will start around 5pm-ish, continuing until mid-evening.

Directions:

• From Detroit: Take I-94 west to the Jackson Road exit, turn right, go to the first light and turn left (north) on Maple Road. You will go past Veterans Park (baseball diamonds) on right and then past 2 lights (the second one is Miller Road from downtown Ann Arbor). You will end up driving under the M-14 underpass before you get to Craig. Turn left on Craig, gravel road which only goes to the left. Look for 2642 Craig Road.
• From the North: Take US-23 south to M-14 West, go up the hill to the Maple exit, and turn right. Craig Road will be on the left. Look for 2642 Craig Road.
• From the Northern Detroit suburbs: Take M-14 west past both US-23 interchanges (and the construction), go up the hill to the Maple exit, and turn right. Craig Road will be on the left. Look for 2642 Craig Road.
• From the West: Take I-94 east to M-14 east (exit 171?), and take the first exit, marked "Dexter and Maple". Cross Dexter Road and continue on the service road to Maple. Turn left, look for Craig Road on the left.

The reason for the gathering is the arrival in SE Michigan of Netiva Caftori, CPSR Midwest Regional Director, for a friendly visit.

At this point no formal program is planned; we'll probably hang out socially and talk about future directions for CPSR both nationally and locally.
