This year all four of CAN's Community Centers received major facelifts. These projects ensure that the communities remain clean, safe, and welcoming places for families and visitors. This work could not have occurred without your support.

Hikone

The oldest of the CAN operated community centers, Hikone comprises 29 units on the south side of Ann Arbor. Hikone is a public housing site which specifically houses families. Over the past 7 years Hikone has developed a reputation for community and togetherness. (More)

Communities

CAN operates four community centers in Ann Arbor , offering a variety of services to under-resourced and low-income communities.

Three CAN community centers offer after school programming for students ages five and up. Here students are able to receive homework help, tutoring, mentoring, and a variety of life skills programming. CAN actively advocates for its residents in the schools.

CAN offers on-site emergency food pantries as well as scheduled mass food distribution. Hot meals are available at least four days a week in the centers.

Green Baxter Court

Green Baxter Court is part of Ann Arbor Public Housing, and has 23 apartments for low income to very low-income families. (More...)

Bryant

Bryant Community Center is located in the Bryant community, which is 260+ households in a mixed income community in southeast Ann Arbor.(More...)

Northside

Northside Community Center is one of the newest centers managed by CAN. It is located in Northeast Ann Arbor near Northside Elementary School. (More...)
