2010
Michigan
AFG Fall Assembly: Theme: “Talk to each other, reason things
out…the Group Conscience in Action with Tradition 2” will be held on Saturday,
October 09, 2010; at 10:00 am in the Family Life Center at the St. Louis Church
of Christ, 1075 West Monroe Road, St. Louis, Michigan. The Area Assembly is a
business meeting where participating members share experiences and ideas, and
group representatives vote on behalf of their members. Registration opens at
9:00am and Assembly begins at 10:00am. Buffet lunch provided. Al-Anon
registration is $7 – Alateens attend free. Please click here for flier.
Al-Anon Open Speaker Meetings: Fridays; October 29, 2010; and December
31, 2010. (Open Al-Anon meetings may be attended by
anyone, including people who are not members of or newcomers to Al-Anon.) This Al-Anon meeting hosts a speaker meeting
every 5th Friday of each month that has five Fridays. Fellowship
begins at 8:00 pm and an Al-Anon open speaker meeting begins at 8:30 pm. The
meeting is held on the campus of the

Michigan
Al-Anon/Alateen 38th Annual State Convention 2011 with AA Participation will be held: Friday
May 13 through Sunday May 15, 2011, at the Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac at Centerpoint.

Al-Anon International Convention: July 5-7, 2013;
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Details will follow!

22nd Annual Fall Mackinac Island Weekend:
will be held on Friday, October 15 through Sunday, October 17, 2010. The weekend
will include fun, fellowship, AA and Al-Anon panels, speakers, ice cream

Al-Anon: A Panel
Discussion:
Tuesday, October 26, 2010: 7:30pm to 9:00 pm. Dawn Farm Education Series. A
lively moderated panel discussion with a unique individual perspective
regarding Al-Anon Family Groups, at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Education
Center, in the auditorium (ground floor) at 5305 Elliott
Drive, Ypsilanti, Michigan. The panel is free

2011 and beyond:
Alcoholics Anonymous 2015 International Convention: The 2015
International Convention of Alcoholics Anonymous will be held over the July 4th
weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. This convention includes Al-Anon/Alateen
participation.
Alcoholics Anonymous 2020 International Convention: We are excited to learn that the 2020 International Convention
of Alcoholics Anonymous will be held in Detroit over the July 4th
weekend. This convention includes
Al-Anon/Alateen participation.

Planning a trip?
Want to know about Al-Anon/Alateen events outside of our local community? The
Al-Anon World Services Office maintains a calendar of Al-Anon/Alateen events
held nationwide and internationally. Members can reach the calendar by going to
the “member’s area” of the World Services web site, at http://www.al-anon.org/members/. You need to know the name of your registered “home group”
or your district to enter a password to access the “member’s area.” Follow the
directions to enter the password. Then,
click on “calendar” at the bottom of the page.
